I need one
I have only used the urine strips and ketone blood meter.
I never heard of a breath ketone meter. Is it covered by insurance? Does it required additional supplies that must be reordered?
Never heard of such a thing.
Not aware of breath ketone meter.
No, but I would consider using one if affordable or covered by insurance. I recently caught a nasty virus while overseas and one would have been helpful in managing my insulin requirements.
I also had never heard of one but I see Amazon has them from $49 to $180. I saw elsewhere online that it can cost $280.
I’ve never used or even seen one, but I guess they’re popular with keto dieters. Just yesterday, my endo’s NP told me to check for ketones whenever I take an anti-nausea pill. I’ve always assumed my nausea is related to migraines but she thinks I should check just to be safe. I have a weakness for gadgets, so I might just check this out.
Obviously these are not used anymore unless you’re in hospital.
I didn’t know this existed. If my doctor, who is the head of endochrinology at a major hospital, thought it was necessary, I would know about and have one.
I didn’t know they existed.
Like everyone else to this point, I responded “NO”.
That is because I’m not including the Human, a neighbor who was a doctor, who came into our home and said to my mother ‘someone here has diabetes’. That was more than 66 years ago and within the hour I began my two-week hodpital stay.
I’ve never heard of one on the market, although I did hear about one being developed.
Never heard of one, however, I did use strip tester that was dual use, but that was over 20 years ago!
