Very rarely, but it does happen. after 45+ years with T1D, I almost don’t even think about it – it is part of my nature now. But, should the routine get nterrupted, say the phone rings right as I am gong to sit down to eat (I bolus at first bite, otherwise the insulin kicks in before the food does) I will most likely assume I’ve done my insulin thig. Thank goodness for pump history function. I can confirm. I haven’t used a pen i decades, but I gather the newer smart pens have that function as well.
57 years as a T1D, 47 years on a pump and 13 years using a CGM. It’s part on my life having my cell phone and pump screaming at me. How can you forget?
I usually prebolus a short time before eating, however, I may forget to bolus if I am starting to eat with a low blood sugar and I want to wait about 10 minutes after I start eating to bolus. Since I usually don’t bolus after I start eating, I may occasionally forget.

Didn’t quite want to say “never.” More common is forgetting to PRE-bolus and only remembering when I see those potatoes on my dinner plate.
LOL……………………………………
I chose rarely, as it has happened maybe three times in twenty years.

I have only done this twice that I can remember in 60 years with T1D.
I selected “Rarely” but that should be extremely rarely.
My problem is bolusing after I start eating vs pre-bolusing more than forgetting altogether.
-Snickering in Amused Disbelief- If we KNEW that answer, we would not have forgotten in the first place now would we !?!?!? Sigh…
