No, I am not married/partnered with someone with T1D. But I’ve seen him through metastatic melanoma (20 years cancer free!!!!) and a Dx of bipolar1. What I’ve learned from living with a serious chronic medical condition helped me to be supportive and have the patience I need to see him through his crises.
Perhaps I was thinking too hard on how to interpret the wording of this question? If only one if the people of the couple has T1D then technically the answer is yes. Thus the other one is basically also living WITH the T1D. So I answered “other” and just got another cup of coffee. 😐
Have been married to wife T1 wife for 32yrs.. which represents just a little over half of her total 59yrs of diagnosis.. and you’ll find us, and many more very long term T1’s in the T1 50yr+ Group..

No, but my wife is! 😉
My late husband had T1D. He was diagnosed at age 3. I was diagnosed at age 4. He passed away 8 years age. We were married for 30 years.
No, I’m the lucky one!
I am in a relationship with someone with T1D but I wasn’t diagnosed until 5 years after we started dating
I’m the person with T1D that someone else is married to 😉
I answered yes, because my wife was T1D, but she died of cancer 3-years ago, so I am not currently married to someone with T1D.
