Just switched to tandem from MDI two months ago. Prior to MDI I was on Medtronic and also Omnipod. Found Medtronic cumbersome and had problems with Omnipod placement and cannula. I like tandem because can use phone for boluses. Don’t have to go fishing for the pump. I use the stainless steel infusion sets. I had previously used these with Medtronic. Don’t have any problem with kinked cannulas. So far it’s been working just don’t like being attached to something 24/7.
Transitioned from older Medtronic Minimed Paradigm Pump and Freestyle CGM in Fall of 2020 to Tandem’s t:slim with Control IQ and Dexcom. LOVE Contol IQ and the tighter control I’m getting. I’m beginning to explore my replacement options since Medicare will allow me to replace my pump in Fall of 2025. Medicare requires pump makers to warranty their pumps for 5 yrs vs the 4 yr warranty I experienced prior to my Medicare eligibility. I WISH the different model infusion sets would have a universal connector. I’ve tried all the infusion set models (Tru-steel, AutoSoft XC, AudioSoft 90 and AutoSoft 30 available with different cannula lengths because I have developed insulin absorption issues on day 3 of any infusion site…despite having rotated my infusion/injection sites from thighs, abdomen, hips, arms over 46+ years as a Type 1. I’m currently using the AutoSoft 30 sets.
I use the OmniPod 5 and it does not have the traditional warranty that Medtronic or Tslim do
I use Omnipod 5 and each pod is good for 3 days, and not reusable, so I do not know what warranty would apply.

Tricky question for us. Current pump is out of warranty. New pump has arrived, but we have not yet started it.
My Tandem pump 5 year warranty is up as of 5/14/2024 and I am awaiting delivery of a new latest version of Tandem pump to replace the old one.
