  I would rather see in person. He checks my feet, BP etc. we have a chance to catch up and for me to ask questions. To me so much better face to face. We did virtual during pandemic.

  On average, how many adjustment boluses would you estimate you manually give yourself in a day? For the purposes of this question, these “adjustment boluses” do not include insulin automatically dosed by an algorithm without user input, and exclude doses given when also bolusing for food.
  On MDI. Maybe one or two a day.

  Does your health insurance offer benefits or cover services that adequately meet your needs?
  I feel like I am discriminated against for choosing MDI with an InPen. I must pay co pay for two insulins and the InPen. Insurance charges a huge amount for pen needles. I get them mail order for a lot less. From Diathrive. I don’t understand why Medicare pays for a pump and also the insulin. And not for MDI. When I stop working will probably have to go back to a pump.

  Diabetes burnout – feeling run down and not managing your diabetes in the way you normally would – happens for many people living with T1D. Which statement best describes the way you currently feel diabetes burnout impacts you?
  My T1D is usually under tight control. Now I seem to be dealing with some gastroparesis. Stomach aches and corresponding blood sugar rise during night. Plan is to change diet especially dinner. I already eat early. But now need to change diet. Again

  I use the InPen since I went back to MDI about three years ago. Give all the information that a pump does. The IOB is the best feature. I love the freedom of not being attached to a pump. As pumps evolve May go back but not right now

  CGM users: The last time you had a sensor fail or fall off before its session was supposed to be over, how early did you have to change your sensor?
  Have Dexcom G7. Usually do not have any problems at all. But the other day I knocked one off (my fault ). Applied new one and it would not register readings. Waited about two hours. Kept saying was low. Had to change again. Dexcom replaced both.

  I answered that I do not have high cholesterol but according to my cardiologist a 103 LDL is high. Never the less I refuse to take statins. Too many side effects. As a cardiac nurse I could see lifestyle was more of a marker for coronary heart disease. Also triglycerides and mine are low.

  I keep my numbers pretty tight. Being in 60’s not a problem. Will correct but feel fine.
