  I've been using a CMG for 17 years. Started out with a Medtronic sensor, that drove me nuts with all the alarms and calibrations.

  I said yes, because about five years ago I was part of the clinical trial for Tandem's Control IQ and the study team had some top notch Diabetes Educators and one of them helped me tweek my pump settings monthly to take advantage of the Control IQ algorithm. I miss the expertise.

  I used IDS (Integrated Diabetes Services) when I started on CIQ during the pandemic. It was very helpful.

  It varies. I usually change it when I’m down to 4–6 units, earlier if my bG is stubbornly high. I try to change it before a meal

  I chose rarely, as it has happened maybe three times in twenty years.

  I usually prebolus a short time before eating, however, I may forget to bolus if I am starting to eat with a low blood sugar and I want to wait about 10 minutes after I start eating to bolus. Since I usually don't bolus after I start eating, I may occasionally forget.

  I Change my pump site and cartridge when the cartridges down to a few units, unless I am not going to be home.
