Our Research Services

T1D Exchange is a trusted source of diabetes data and insights.

We work with industry, academia, advocacy organizations and other research entities to design and execute diabetes research. We perform qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, aggregated data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.

T1D Exchange is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving outcomes for all people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and type 2 diabetes (T2D) through real-world evidence and collaborative change.

We facilitate research, gather and analyze real-world data, drive quality improvement, and improve health equity for people living with diabetes.

We leverage our programs to drive meaningful change in how people living with diabetes receive care and to identify and address the ever-changing needs and challenges they experience.

What We Do

Our programs unite healthcare providers, diabetes researchers, quality improvement experts, health equity leaders, and people living with diabetes—aggregating patient-reported outcomes and real-world data to obtain a comprehensive and accurate picture of diabetes disease progression, its clinical management, and its impact on people living with diabetes.

Our work advances health equity in diabetes and drives meaningful population health improvements, including policy and insurance changes, better products, and improved care for people living with diabetes.

Through our expansive network, T1D Exchange reaches over 250,000 people who are affected by diabetes. Through our programs, we facilitate research, gather and analyze real-world data, drive quality improvement, and improve health equity for people living with diabetes.

Our flagship initiatives include:

  • T1D Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative (T1DX-QI)
