My sugar would rise quite a bit at some point during the week before. When the period started, my blood sugar dropped drastically. After a few days, it was back to normal blood sugars.
Agree with Anita. My typical pattern was BG rise the week before, then run low for a day or 2 when bleeding starts. Patterns are less predictable now that I’m in perimenopause.
In general, my BG rises significantly during PMS, about 130%. Then, once menstruation starts, it lowers each day (125%, 115%, etc), and then drops significantly for about 2 days, running at 90% of normal, until it goes back to my “normal” rate. There is no program I can set for this variability on my pump, all manual/temporary rates.
I am past those days, but when I did menstruate, my blood sugars would go up the week before and then drop the day my period started. The rest of the time, I didn’t notice any changes.
My BG increases 20-30% the week before my period. By Day 2 or 3, it is back to “normal”. I have a basal pattern for the week prior to my period.

I no longer get a menstrual cycle, but didn’t notice many changes when I did. At that time, no cgm’s and only 4-6 finger sticks a day.

When I had periods my glucose would drop like a bimb the minute the period started. Elevated blood sugars for a couple days ahead of period
My last period was in 2022. The week before I would experience insulin resistance. Once my period started, my insulin needs would drop back to normal.
My BG’s went low AFTER the menstrual period.
