  If you were hospitalized for a condition not related to T1D, who managed your T1D care?
  Myself and the glycemic team. My endocrinologist just happened to be on two of the times I was hospitalized so that was easy. One time I was in a steroid and insulin drop so they had a formula for that, as well as hourly finger sticks.

  I said 0-5 minutes before. But as many have mentioned, and like everything else diabetes, there are several variables to take in to consideration when bolusing for a meal.

  Was even allergy tested! Allergic to Humalog, beef and pork, but less so to pork. Thankfully Novolog came around.

  What is the typical difference between your GMI (glucose management indicator), the new name for eA1C (estimated A1C from your glucose monitoring device), and your A1C?
  Other. I have no kidneys and am on dialysis. My last A1c was "4.8", my GMI was in the 6's.

  As I have hypo unawareness, I don't usually have to "recover" I answered based on the time it takes for me to get my glucose level up and feel "safe".

  I've never done it myself, but have read about it in the PEAK study in adults. They studied cyclists. The idea behind sprinting to raise bg levels is that the exercise becomes anaerobic rather than aerobic, thus raising glucose levels. However, I believe the sprint was more like 10 minutes rather than 10 seconds.

  Not sure what is meant by this question. I will override suggested bolus often, so when low. As far as adjusting basal rates, that is dependent on trends, as is changing I:C ratios and ISF. it is done with forethought and trends. Sometimes my settings are good for months. My one constant is that things change.
