If you’re on an insulin pump, have you ever used expired pump supplies (i.e., infusion sets, reservoirs, pods, etc.) and had any issues?

I haven’t joined the club of having a backstop of supplies that would cause that issue. But I do check the dates on packs and rotate a backup set of CGM and pumps (I’m on Dash) at our cabin in WV.
Yes. We take our son’s old insulin pump different brand than he’s currently using) with us when we travel, and we have had to put it to use three times in the last five years. I still have a full box of each-reservoirs and infusion sets. I think that the supplies expired a few years ago. The part that goes into his body (TruSteel) is interchangeable with tubing, so we use those. So far, no issues.
I live in Florida and the heat and humidity affect everything. I never paid attention before but I couldn’t get the reservoir to work properly, the rubber had deteriorated. Medtronic tech was the one who asked me to check the date and that was the issue. I had to get rid of some backup supplies.
I answered “no….” but actually, I have used expired tubing, infusion sets, and reservoirs in the past. I did experience some issues with occlusions which I don’t get using up to date supplies.
Past tense but, yes I used out of date supplies… the identical way, given no other viable choice I used (or would use) out of date supplies, medication today, given no other choice…
There’s an expiration date on durable supplies? Who knew? I’ve never noticed nor do I really care.

With infusion sets etc no. But expired sensors did not work as should.
Test strips seem to match symptoms and/or CGM fairly well tho expired.
