Among the other the squalls and scuffles of my soul, it appears the remaining G6’s are not working as well as the old ones. Anyone else experiencing this? ⚠️
Ahh Life: I just started on G7 late March. Can you tell me what about them is not working? Is it that they stop reporting BGs or that they are way off compared to finger sticks? Mine seem to be working through their time and the couple of times I have checked, they are on BG track, but I’ve all but stopped fingersticks. Is that a mistake? Thank you in advance!
I am on my third G7 sensor. So far, so good. No problems.
Regarding Ahh Life’s comment about the G6 sensors. Yes, I found that my last bunch of G6 sensors only lasted 7 to 9 days. I wondered if it might have been a weakening transmitter? I don’t know. That problem is gone now, since I’m on the G7’s.
G6 using BIQ. I fortuntely have about 8 months of g6 supplies, then (icking and screaming) will change to G7 ( I consider CIQ is a downgrade – the target is too high, and I make use of the temp basal. That will be a downgrade in my opinion, as will have to raise my target to 110 from 80)
I’ve been using Medtronic’s Guardian3 several years, last year Libre3, last fall Guardian4. I’ve had no issues with any CGM, although I don’t necessarily apply them on the suggested spot. If Eversence were to work with a delivery system I’d probably jump ship (imagine removing the transmitter when needed than reattach, have the sensor changed every 6 months?).
I just started the G7 but still have two G6 sensors that I will also use. They arrived as replacements after I had started my G7 sensors
I am using my last Dexcom G6 and will be starting G7 within a week.

Patricia Dalrymple — They go belly up 6 or 7 days in. They are also erratic in accuracy. 😣
Waiting not so patiently for OmniPod to match with G7
One remaining G6 sensor in the cabinet before starting G7.

I use the Libre 3. Readings are not as accurate as the Dexcom 7. But my insurance stopped covering Dexcom in 2024. So.
I am working through my last G6 transmitter and sensors, then on to G7.

I’m on the Eversense E3.

Currently the Dexcom G6, but I’ve been approved for the G7. So, I will get the G7 at my next refill.
