  Have you had any issues obtaining life insurance because of T1D?
  The only way I was able to obtain life insurance was through my employment. At one employer I was able to roll over the life insurance into a personal whole life policy , without medical questions.

  Do you have any programmed diabetes-related “reminders” on your phone or other technology? For example, a reminder to take your long-acting insulin every night at 10 p.m., or a reminder to bolus every day at 1 p.m.?
  My only reminders are from my Dexcom Continuous Glucose monitor and that is plenty.

  In the past 7 days, have you stayed up later than you planned to make sure your blood glucose levels were stable before going to sleep?
  I said no. But, I have both had a snack and given an extra bolus before bed. I find that Tandem's ControlIQ does an amazing job of landing me well.

  Though I always disclose my T1D, the understanding of the impact of having it is very misunderstood by most doctors, they are either out of date or completely ignorant.

  Do you refrigerate your insulin after opening the vial/pen?
  I don't want my insulin to degrade while in my pump, refrigerating the vial seems an easy way to slow that down.

  I would switch to the DEXCOM G7, but I am waiting for Tandem to add the software and offer the upgrade. Of course it will mean updating my prescription and verifying Medicare coverage.
