Who is T1D Exchange?

Data Driven Research to Improve T1D Outcomes for All

T1D Exchange is a nonprofit organization that drives improved outcomes in the treatment of type 1 diabetes (T1D). Through quality improvement and collaboration, we harness data and insights to advance T1D research, identify gaps in data and unmet needs in diabetes care, refine best practices and ultimately improve the quality of life for all people living with T1D.

T1D Exchange was established in 2010 with ongoing support from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.

What We Do

In collaboration with our partners, we collect and analyze data that will benefit people living with T1D both now and in the future. We aggregate both clinical outcomes and real-world data to obtain a comprehensive and accurate picture of T1D disease progression, its clinical management, and the impact on patients living with T1D.

Using this data, we generate and share relevant insights that can make meaningful population health improvements, including better products, policy changes, and insurance coverage that increases healthcare utilization and reduces inequities in care.
