  My overnight low is fixed with peanut butter M&M's. I store a bag of them in my night stand so they're easy to get to, and it's very easy to adjust the amount you need as these are little candies, about 1 carb per.

  I answered "other" because the initial cost wasn't so much the main idea but if it was covered by my insurance. Thankfully they covered the technology I thought was best for me!

  I, too, was a ten year old when diagnosed. I was sitting in the hospital learning about finger sticks, taking injections, and the like while my class mates were taking their field trip! My class mates did stop in to see me because their field trip was to the same town I was hospitalized in, that was special! I still remember that sinking feeling I got when I realized that this was for life, not something I was going to get over; in a little girls mind, you went to the hospital when you were sick and stayed there until you were well again. I count myself blessed, tho, because of the pediatric endo team I was assigned; they were very, very good! It was hard to adjust to adult care because by the time I was to that stage they were more than doctors and CDE's, they were friends.

  After reading all the other comments, I count myself blessed. My mother had a brother with T1D, so she understood the symptoms I was experiencing and took me to a dr. immediately and there I was diagnosed, at 10 yrs old.

  I answered "very satisfied" although it is not that there is never any glitches. For the most part, tho, I am well taken care of. I use Byram for my pump supplies and USmed takes care of my Dexcom needs. (I also am a Medicare participant.)

  It is in my best interest if they are aware. That way I don't get prescribed something that doesn't work with insulin, etc.

  I answered that my sleep has improved a little. My experience will sound a lot like some of the rest of y'alls . I sleep better because I'm not as worried about going low, but at the same time this good sleep is interrupted by useless alarms! Nonetheless, I wouldn't want to give up my closed-loop system, so.....there's the info for whatever its worth!

  Still hoping for a cure after having T1D for 64 years. I never hear anything about a cure anymore, or new research findings on a cure.
