  Actually, it is seeing my BG's that sometimes predict my moods like anger if it's dropping low too fast or fear when I feel symptoms in my body/chest from super high BG's.

  Aside from the first year after your diagnosis, have you seen a registered dietitian for help managing nutrition and T1D?
  Although I have seen a dietician at least 3 times, it has been many years since doing so. Right now, I need advice on how to lose weight without frequent low BG's.

  When I was married, diabetes was not in the picture at all. All I knew was an uncle who died in 1929 because he refused injections. I developed LADA in my 40's, followed by my husband with Type 2, then my two daughters who had PCOS and Type 2, then my son with Type 2. Enough.

  I always have juice boxes and glucose tablets literally at my elbow. Just have to grab them. (My lows seem to rush.)

  I use 80 because my lows seem to come fast.

  When I had surgery last year and couldn't exercise for a few months, my time-in-range was very good. I was shocked but I shouldn't have been as exercise is one of the things that make my diabetes harder to keep under control. During recovery, I didn't have the ups-n-downs in blood sugar that I usually have when I exercise.

  Fortunately that hasn't been an issue for quite some time. If I need help beyond what I've learned from 67 years of previous experience, I'd contact my endo or CDE.

  What's interesting is that I've begun taking Adderall for ADHD, and my doctor and I are still trying to find the right dosage. Lately I've found that 20mg XR is just too much for me, and describing how uncomfortable and out of it I felt, my ex-cocaine user boyfriend said that's exactly what coming down from speeding feels like. But what's interesting is that it also feels exactly like a low blood sugar. I kept checking my CGM but my blood sugars were all fine, but I still felt shaky and spacey. So apparently a low blood sugar has the same feeling as coming down off of speed/drugs.

  I've never had a very severe low -- only been T1D for 7 months. But if I am dropping very fast, I usually get this weird tunnel vision where I feel like everything is converging and I feel unsteady. Then the shaking, clammy feeling starts. Usually takes 25-30 mins to feel normal again, even when my blood sugar returns to normal.
