  The G7 requires a clear overpatch. The tape with the G7 unit itself is quite small. If you have trouble reaching that area it may be a challenge applying that overpatch.

  For CGM users: If you were to spend 4 hours away from home but still in your local area (e.g., an afternoon of running errands around town, or going out for dinner and a movie), would you bring a backup glucose meter with you?
  I have a small cosmetic bag with testing supplies, insulin, syringes, alcohol and a battery that I have with me virtually all the time. Overkill? Maybe. But reassuring.

  I'm vigilant. My A1C and TIR are very good. My endo has confused vigilance with stress. I tell him it's like having a two year old in the house. You're always aware of it and do what you can to take care of it, but that doesn't mean it's driving you crazy.

  Went from Humalog to Lispro, the generic form, also made by Lilly and saw no difference.

  I was diagnosed later in life, over 65, so my "no" means something very different from those whose career choices were not affected by having T1D. Data like this can be misleading.

  Aside from the first year after your diagnosis, have you seen a registered dietitian for help managing nutrition and T1D?
  Saw one, recently out of school, when I was first diagnosed ten years ago. She insisted I needed 150 grams of carbs per day minimum and handed me a sheet with meal plans. She explained that I needed those carbs to keep my brain functioning properly. GEEZ. I can only hope she's learned a thing or two since then.

  I am a type 1 diabetic for about 40 years. I follow intensive insulin therapy. I have noted that that weather conditions affect the insulin intake quite drastically. Has there been any research findings on this?

  What are the causes of increases in blood sugar levels that are not connected to food or activity. My blood sugar levels will just increase while I'm sitting & If I don't catch it, it will go into the 200s. Very frustrating
