  I’m 74 and I answered not at all/very little. I did not have diabetes until age 57. I am type 1. It did say everyday is not perfect.

  I’m more accepting when I can understand the cause like a mistake in calculating carbs, bad infusion site , stress, or something else. I can be frustrated when I have no clue why the reading is high.

  I’m glad to have the pump. Some stress with infusion sets/sites, cgm accuracy, other pump related issues. Still want to continue using the pump. I’m alive, feeling well and doing almost all things I want todo.

  I have no clue what my T1D health care provider understands about my daily challenges and I don’t know about his daily challenges either. Not sure why I should care as long as I have access to information how to best take care of myself.

  In the past 24 hours, how many times has your blood glucose risen above 180 mg/dL (10.0 mmol/L)? (For this question, we are looking at separate periods of hyperglycemia, rather than consecutive glucose readings above 180 mg/dL.)
  Yesterday I walked 30 miles. At about 10 miles I went 200 something. I took 20g of carbs at about 120 to prevent going low and ended up at 200 even though I continued to walk. Took a correction and my bg dropped more than I wanted. It is a trick to manage bg during long endurance events. My endocrinologist suggested a profile for me which I was trying for the first time. I will be walking for 24 continuous hours hoping for about 70 miles. The event is outrun 24 at Chapin Forest in Kirtland Ohio.

  If you use a CGM, how many times in the past year has a new sensor caused excessive bleeding at the site?
  Not so much with sensors but more so with infusion sets upon removal.
