  Age and convenience…I live in a small rural town and my endocrinologist is about an hour and a quarter drive away. Currently 66 years old and diagnosed at age 53

  • Age. Most studies are for 65 or younger. • Transport. Can no longer drive at night and public transport lacking. • Significant disruption. If experiment too radically different from day-to-day life. • Time. When you have few years life expectancy remaining, you’re chary about wasting them.

  have tried but between my A1C being too low, my rapidly advancing age (64), using metformin and having had cancer - I am basically out of luck!

  Guess what folks. Age doesn’t have to limit you! I’m 67 and the study I’m participating in will take people up to 89! Insulin and all supplies are provided to me (including dexcom g7). If you are interested, I suggest doing every survey. Sometimes they change the requirements if they can’t get enough participants. Please think about it! If we don’t participate, research can’t move forward!😊

  Have you ever switched to a new insulin pump or CGM only to return to your previous version?
  I didn't change, but I was thinking of changing back to the Dexcom G6 from the G7 since G6 are going to eventually be discontinued. Once I learned some tricks to use the G7 more effectively, I am getting less problems with it.
