  I put 3. I often think about the other 5 hormones the islets produce. Even with optimized BG & insulin doses we can’t mimic what a healthy pancreas does. We need a cellular treatment to mimic what the islets do.

  I carry everything on board at the start of a trip but will check in most supplies other than what I need for the day on the way home.

  I view my CGM numbers on my insulin pump often, because that's where the alarms have to be cleared. I do use my TConnect app on my phone when I'm out. I wish you clear alarms from it.

  My preferred way is whatever is easiest at the time. I look at my phone if it is handy and I want to view 3, 7, 30, 90 day trends. I look at my pump if phone not handy. I rarely look at clarity because you can’t clear alarms there. When I go to Mobi or a smaller pump, I will most likely get smart watch.

  I said always but that’s because I never check bags. I pack light and can fit 2 weeks worth of stuff in a carryon

  When I travel, I make sure not to check bags in. The longest we are away from home is a month and some of the medical supplies I need cannot be found outside of the USA.

  I learned the hard way to ALWAYS keep meds with me. First time on a cruise and first time traveling after diagnosis I made the mistake of trusting them when they said my checked bags would be waiting in the room when I got to the room. We had to beg them to find our bag when we got there. That was in 2008 and I’ve never done that again.

  I keep all medications and necessary tools with me at all times [not in overhead racks] when on common conveyances and, insulin and other diabetes stuff is only one little piece.
