  Pizza, white rice, for me big protein meals with fats turkey burger + avocado) are often difficult for me. I can't bolus the same thing each time I eat, my body seems to respond each time I eat one of these for a meal.

  Why are NO and CHILRDEN not an option? No. I have five sons. I have repeatedly asked the them to get tested. So far, they have ignored me.

  How would you rate your overall experience flying with T1D, including airport security? (1=worst, 5= best)
  I have to say it is not too bad. The biggest part is acceptance. I go into the airport, ready to be pulled aside at the checkpoint to be wanted/inspected. Having flown both domestically and internationally, I consider the experience quick and easy. I would say that 95% of the people doing the inspection are used to inspecting a diabetic, and for the small percentage that have never done it, their supervisor has done it. I appreciate that I am calm and help make it a learning experience for the agent. Now, is it as easy as someone who doesn't need to go through this process? No, but knowing what to expect, the process is easy.
