  I always wipe the area with Flonase (and apply a piece of smith & nephew opsite flexifix) before inserting the omnipod 5. Has helped tremendously with allergic reaction to the adhesive.

  No, absolutely not! That would make it more likely the device would fall off. I only swab with alcohol a couple of minutes ahead of time for the CGM.

  I said no, but I always use IV PREP WIPES for my infusion sites.

  I was taught to never put anything on my skin before inserting a sensor to avoid contaminating the sensor with something that could interfere with accurate glucose readings. I do use Skin Prep (Smith and Nephew) under infusion sites to minimize irritation from the adhesive but not creams or ointments.

  I assume the question refers to moisturizing creams and not tacky substances to help with adhesion, and I answered never. I would consider some sort of after-care cream for the site, although I don’t think I have a big scarring problem.

  No. But during the last 69 years I have taken many shots of insulin unrelated to meal consumption

  I get alerts when I am too high for too long but otherwise I am not aware if I am high. I am very symptomatic when I am low but not at all when I am high.

  Insulin resistance is a continuum and is always changing based on many factors. Yes and no are not really the right answers.

  Thank you for this. I'm the same. My TDD is over 50% higher when I've had little exercise through the week. Even then, my BG is far higher on average. I find it quite stressful.

  As others have already said, I only know when I trend high because I get alerted by my CGM. Going low is much more obvious to me though I do get lots of reminders from my CGM if what I do to bring it back up hasn't started doing its job yet.
