  I was D deficient at diagnosis and I have been taking a supplement ever since. I do not know if it has any effect on glucose levels, as I have never experimented with not taking it.

  I've been taking Vitamin D3 for at least 15 years now. I did not notice any changes in glucose levels or insulin sensitivity after I started Vitamin D3.

  No effects on glucose levels or insulin sensitivity but I've been taking it for probably 10-15 years since my endo discovered that I was low.

  I've been taking D3 for many years because I was deficient. I've never really noticed a difference in my glucose numbers because of it, but I've not been specifically tracking that either.

  Occasionally. Do not take it regularly. Live in FLA and get plenty of sun. Don’t always wear sunscreen if not out long. Have not noticed a difference.

  I take 5,000IU every day and hit the tanning bed 1x per week for 10 minutes. This regimen brought my levels from severely deficient (20 ng/ml) to high normal (75 ng/ml). I have not noticed changes to glucose levels or insulin sensitivity, but my Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) all but vanished.

  see my endo on Friday so we'll see what the new one is. spent last year in the low 5s which provided some unexpected benefits. my ophthalmologist said that if my A1C was 7 that I'd be getting shots in my eye! talk about motivation!

  Yes, after very close to 70 yrs of many hypo and hyper glucose merry-go-rounds, diabetes has imposed itself on my life many times. Unexpected, severe lows have struck as I was taking the Graduate Records Exam in a huge university conference hall, being introduced and asked to speak about my work at an opening night gallery reception of a solo exhibition and while being "Mother of the Bride" at my daughter's wedding reception.

  I answered no but reading answers given I relate to a lot the day I was diagnosed 56 years ago at times when I forget to put my phone , cgm or tandem on vibrate and at an event and one of thrm goes off at weddings funerals other social and work times

  When my children got married, I had to find a dress where I could easily get to my pump to bonus for food often I had to cut holes in parts of the dress, but it worked

  Having had diabetes for 60 years, I have learned to prepare ahead for those special times in my life or others’ lives. With my CGM and Tandem Control IQ, it has become easier.

  Coincindentally, this week I had a 90 degree kink in my cannula starting about four hours after insertion. Otherwise my Tamdem pump and Dexcom G7 do wonderfully. But another question, I'm on Medicare with Part B Supplement. I'm told Medicare does not cover BG test strips if CGM is prescribed. What do people do for backup in case your CGM fails or you want confirmation. In my example, the G7 only reads 400 then says high. I injected insulin but could not see if it was working until my BG went below 400. Make dosing difficult. It was over an hour before I could get an actual reading on the GGM. If I didn't have my backup BG meter I was ready to head to the ER due to lack of information.

  Attending a funeral for a family friend that was also a close business partner, alarms...alarms. It sometimes can be inappropriate.

  You can plan for special moments in your life but even the best plans can be diverted by diabetes. You just have to the best you can with the situation.
