This year, in review, we’d like to introduce you to a handful of expert physicians from the T1D Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative (T1DX-QI). We are so grateful for their contributions!
Since its establishment in 2016, the T1DX-QI has grown to over 60 participating endocrine clinics across the U.S. that provide care for over 100,000 people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and more than 50,000 with type 2 diabetes (T2D)
Here, we’ll look at interview highlights from 2024, as providers share more about their research and quality improvement work in the diabetes space. Interested in viewing the full list of Meet the Expert Interviews? You can find it here.
The T1D Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative
The T1DX-QI was established with the support of The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust to refine best practices and improve the quality of care and outcomes for individuals living with T1D.
Fueled by top leaders in diabetes care, the T1DX-QI has become an engine of innovation and inspiration. By engaging with its shared, data-driven, and systematic methods, clinics have seen unprecedented success in their approach to diabetes management.
With members working closely to identify gaps in care, discover and refine best practices, and share research — the process has become knowledge-sharing at its very best. While collated data gives clinics a clear sense of “where they are,” it also demonstrates “where they can be” by applying shared, evidence-based methods for improving care.
