Viral Shah, MD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and is the Director of Diabetes Clinical Research at the Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Shah serves as Chair of the Diabetes Technology Interest Group at the American Diabetes Association, Editor-in-Chief for Clinical Diabetology, and an Editorial Board Member for Diabetes Care and the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology.  

David T. Broome, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes (MEND) Division at the University of Michigan. Dr. Broome is a Caswell Diabetes Institute Clinical and Translational Research Scholar at the University of Michigan. He additionally serves as a Review Editor on the Editorial Board for Frontiers in Clinical Diabetes and Healthcare and as an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (JCEM). 

Mary Pat Gallagher, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where she serves as the Division Director of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. Dr. Gallagher is also the Medical Director of the Fink Ambulatory Care Center and the Pediatric Diabetes Center at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone in New York City.    

Mary Lauren Scott, MD is an endocrinologist in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at Children’s of Alabama and an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Scott also serves as Director of the High-Risk Diabetes Clinic, the Type 2 Diabetes Intake Clinic, and the Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Program at Children’s of Alabama. 

Devin Steenkamp is an endocrinologist at Boston Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition, and Weight Management at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Steenkamp is the Director of the Clinical Diabetes Program at Boston Medical Center and serves as the T1D Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative (T1DX-QI) site PI for adult T1D endocrinology at Boston Medical Center.

Kathryn Fantasia, MD, MSc, is an adult endocrinologist at Boston Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Nutrition, and Weight Management at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Fantasia is a K12 Scholar with the National NIH K12 Physician Scientist DiabDocs Program and serves as the T1DX-QI Type 2 diabetes (T2D) site PI at Boston Medical Center.

Grazia Aleppo, MD, is a Professor of Medicine and Associate Chief for Clinical Affairs in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Molecular Medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She also serves as the Medical Director of Northwestern Medicine Diabetes, Training, and Education Program and as co-chair of Quality Improvement in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University.

Francesco Vendrame, MD, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Miami School of Medicine and an adult endocrinologist at the University of Miami Health System in Miami, Florida.

Laura Jacobsen, MD, is an Assistant Professor and Pediatric Endocrinologist at the University of Florida Department of Pediatrics and Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Program at the University of Florida.

Meredith Wilkes, MD is an Endocrinologist at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Dr. Maahs served as Secretary-General for the International Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) and is the President-elect. With his extensive T1D research and publications, Dr. Maahs is a top-rated T1D expert worldwide.

Daniel DeSalvo, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and a Pediatric Endocrinologist at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. DeSalvo serves as the Type 1 Diabetes Clinic Lead, Diabetes Transition Clinic Co-lead, and is the Director of Strategic Collaboration at Texas Children’s Diabetes and Endocrine Care Center.

Priya Prahalad, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Medical Director of Clinical Informatics at Stanford Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Prahalad serves as co-chair of the QIC Publications Committee and has been an active member of the Collaborative since 2016. Her research interests are focused on utilizing technology to improve the quality of care and reduce health disparities in individuals living with T1D.
