  I am similar. Use Omni 5 some of the time and DIY loop other times. It's economics. My Omnipod 5 is too expensive on my insurance plan.

  Using OmniPod 5 now because I love being tubeless. Once tandem is tubeless I will switch back to that system.

  I not only love the idea of a "Dead Pancreas Society,” I cannot wait to buy a shirt or sweatshirt and wear one to my next in-person endocrinology visit. (Most are zoom visits.) 😋👻😋

  On average, how many correction boluses (with a syringe, pen, or pump) do you give in a day?
  I’m on the 780g now, so it takes care of things. So the last 24hrs I’ve been 99% TIR. With that, it’s done some micro boluses, but every day will be different depending what I ate, and how closely the carb count was

  2-3. I think I've gotten in the habit of giving it a little preventative push when I see my post-prandial getting up there and relying on my C:IQ to drop my basal later if necessary. So I don't know if that's a "correction," in the standard sense, but it seems to work pretty well. Just saw my endo last week and I had 99% TIR and a 5.6 AIC.

  I always celebrate World Diabetes Day November 14. It's my birthday. This year, I got a 5.6 A1C for my birthday, well actually my endo appointment was the day before, but that counts. Lowest I've ever had since dx in 1983. I finally got to normal! Only took 41 years.

  Have donated to insulinpumpers in the past, but ended up throwing away some for my old pump recently which were past their use/by date. Had kept my old pump as a back up, but, in 4 1/2 years, never actually used it that way.
