  I answered "maybe" because I am house bound and can do survey's online, but not in person. Also, I am 86 and not eligible for most research.

  I don't have problems reading published results. I'm more concerned with information that doesn't get published or is just left out.

  How often do you use community forums to learn about emerging therapies or studies?
  I think community forums are great places to learn about emerging therapies or studies. I try to keep up on published research and the standards of care but the field is so large it helps to hear from other people with other interests and points of view. Regarding therapies I recently spent time reading posts about when the Dexcom G6 was first released and realized just how much the understanding of how to use a CGM effectively has progressed within the diabetes community. I feel bad for those trying to figure them out alone. I started there, it was bad. It is important to define community forums as places for others affected by diabetes to come and talk about their experiences. They are not facebook groups, reddit, etc where advertising, trolls and misinformation are normal.

  You may have aged out of some trials, but there are trials that may want senior adults since we diabetic people are living longer.

  I would love to participate in diabetes research. I have done several studies previously. Sadly, at this point my age (63) and (my location NYS, near the Canadian border) make the opportunities few.

  I said 0, no one actively follows, but the endo looks at scheduled appointments or if I ask them to help me trouble shoot something

  Ditto…My endo checks in 3-4 times per year during appointments but otherwise no one follows. I never call him for questions tho.

  How often do you participate in T1D-related events (walks, rides, galas, community meetups)?
  Never. Doesn't interest me. I would make an exception for a diabetes tech/medicine conference/expo if it were convenient to where I lived. Because the future of diabetes fascinates me. But I’d never plan a trip to attend.

  The limiting factor now is my age, many studies don't accept people over 65.

  Due to a lot of age limits there are rarely any for over age 70 with long term diabetes
