CURRENT OPENINGS

Research Study Coordinator, Registry

Position: Research Study Coordinator, Registry
Classification: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Location: Boston, MA

This position will be a member of the T1D Exchange registry team and report directly to the Associate Director, Registry, working with the Registry VP, clinical research coordinators and a data analyst. The Study Coordinator will provide input and support in maintaining a web based, disease specific registry that encompasses an online survey, participant and administrative panels as well as sub-studies and annual follow-ups.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in preparing regulatory packets for IRB submission. This may include developing the protocol, protocol process charts, patient facing materials, ICFs , amendments, and continuing reviews
  • Assist in maintaining regulatory compliance through continuing reviews and submitting amendments for any supplemental material additions or changes
  • Assist and track clear communication with a commercial IRB
  • Provide input and support in developing a web based, disease specific registry that will encompass an administrative survey and participant tracking system. This position will use this system to manage participant information and enrollment through administrative access
  • Provide input on technical requirements for Registry platform; participate and facilitate user testing throughout build stages
  • Organize data collection approaches to strengthen and optimize research output
  • Correspond with customers (internal and external) who seek to recruit and/or use data from the Registry platform.
  • Maintain best practices for research study data management
  • Implement and maintain ongoing meetings for the Registry team and collaborators. Actively participate in team meetings
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of research databases and standard operating procedures
  • Answer participant questions concerning enrollment and the consenting process via phone as needed
  • Provide input on technical requirements for Registry platform; help facilitate user testing throughout build stages
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of research databases and standard operating procedures

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a scientific or health related field
  • 2‐3 years’ experience in clinical research
  • 2 years’ experience consenting potential participants for a research study
  • Experience with IRB processes, submissions and management of human subjects’ regulations required. Pervious commercial IRB knowledge desirable
  • Interest in patient-focused research and working in a team setting
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment with the ability to adjust as needed and learn both through own initiative and as part of a team
  • Must have critical thinking skills, including ability to identify and suggest solutions to any study issues
  • Relate positively with community and communicate with coworkers, participants and potential customers using the highest level of tact and diplomacy
  • Prior experience with minor assenting process and/or online assenting or consenting a plus
  • Clinical trial and site vendor management experience a plus
  • Spanish fluency a plus

Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Position: Senior Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Classification: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Location: Boston, MA

As the Senior Marketing and Communications Coordinator you will be responsible for the execution of a multi-faceted communications plans aimed at raising awareness about T1D Exchange, its Registry, Quality Improvement Collaborative, and its online community. Responsibilities include working with internal and external resources to create and distribute collateral (including digital and print materials), updating T1D Exchange websites, planning and executing onsite meetings, and managing digital marketing campaigns. The individual will also be responsible for working with our advancement team to support fundraising activities. You will have a strategic impact on the Partnerships and Advancement team based on your work in the Marketing and Communications team.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Work within the Marketing and Communications team to write and produce content, for the purposes of engagement, education, promotion, and fundraising.
• Work in conjunction with program area teams to develop marketing plans; produce and distribute marketing communications collateral evolving from those plans; and track progress of collateral through the development process.
• Plan, organize, and manage communication campaigns for brand awareness and fundraising including, but not limited to direct mail, email, post-event communication, newsletters, publication announcements.
• Assist in the execution of internal and external events aimed at engaging and cultivating audiences.
• Ensure all communications activities are accomplished to best-practice communication and marketing standards – adherence to brand style and guidelines, produce content that is differentiated, intuitive, easily accessible, and with clear calls to action, statement of benefits, and demonstrable ROI.
• Ensure consistent worldwide messaging and content and act as brand ambassador.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications in a non-profit, healthcare, or related industry preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Effective presentation skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently, and as a team player.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and partners.
• Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities, and changing work environment.
• MS Office Suite products preferred.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar marketing software programs experience a plus.
• Experience, and a strong understanding, with CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge.
• SalesForce and Google for Business desired.

Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager

Position: Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager
Classification: Full-time (40 hours per week)

T1D Exchange is an innovative nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating therapies and improving care for people with type 1 diabetes. We are rapidly expanding and have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Improvement professional.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Commercial Partnerships and Advancement and working in close coordination with partners across T1D Exchange, the Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager is responsible for building relationships with and securing partnership agreements in support of the organization’s highest priorities. The professional will identify and engage new, highly philanthropic corporations, industry partners working in the type 1 diabetes community. He/she/they will pursue growth of this portfolio by partnering with T1D Exchange’s team members and activating T1D Exchange’s network of committed partners to engage individuals in the significance of the organization’s strategies, research and industry initiatives. This seasoned professional will at the same time have important responsibilities for managing commercial and philanthropic relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Develops cultivation and solicitation strategies for a portfolio of prospects and donors. Builds and manages a network of relationships with prospective commercial partners and donors involving the organization’s leadership. Facilitates and coordinates all communication with these prospects. Promotes positive relations with these prospects and partners.
• Evaluates various project and sponsorship opportunities and giving vehicles and recommends the most suitable for a particular commercial partner.
• Interacts with internal contacts such as researchers, analysts, and other programmatic colleagues and other staff to consult on the Organization’s needs, to formulate strategies to promote prospect engagement.
• Work with marketing and communication colleagues to develop the strategy for and creation of written communications related to advancing the organization’s interests and opportunities.
• Typically participates (often in concert with others) in gift solicitations to fund the organization’s programs to enhance the commercial partnerships program.
• May travel (possibly extensively) for fundraising and partnership activity. May involve international travel depending upon prospect assignments.
• Performs additional commercial partnership related activities/efforts at the request of the Managing Director of Commercial Partnerships and Advancement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, fundraising or a related field, preferably in healthcare or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working with sensitive information and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of type 1 diabetes, the industry and evolving spaces in global innovation and accelerator programs.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and prospective clients.
• Understanding of commercial partnerships and business development strategies
• Working knowledge of CRM systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT)
• Professional credibility, intellectual depth, maturity, and collaborative skills to lead others by influence.
• Creative and entrepreneurial outlook with a strong intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to adapt and collaborate in a complex environment.
• Ability to present complex funding opportunities to prospective industry partners and or donors in person and in writing.
